As a practising barrister, I travel throughout the United Kingdom for work. When I am not in court, I like to travel abroad, as seen from my videos on my YouTube channel. When time allows, however, I love to explore the city or town in which I am working. Most have a rich history and interesting places to explore and visit.
While the destinations may be different, they all share one thing in common—they’re places worth experiencing. Whether I’m wandering the colourful streets of Valencia, relaxing on a Caribbean beach, exploring the history of Porto, admiring the beauty of a Greek island or uncovering the character and culture of Liverpool, my goal is to travel, learn, enjoy what many places have to offer. What better education is there?
So, let us begin. I arrived in Liverpool on Sunday, 9 August 2026, to beginning an 8-day trial, starting on Monday, 10 August 2026. Day 1 (the day I shot this video) was a reading day (the judge spends the day reading the trial bundle and witness statements) after we attended court in the morning to deal with any legal or preliminarily matters, rather than stay in my hotel room located on Dale Street, I decided to go for a walk. Whether you are planning a trip to Liverpool, feeling nostalgic, or just enjoying a relaxing city walk, this video takes you through the vibrant streets, rich maritime history, and world-famous musical heritage of Merseyside.
The route I took and landmarks I covered included, amongst others, the Royal Albert Dock & Waterfront; Liverpool ONE Shopping Complex; Mathew Street and The World-Famous Cavern Club where the Beatles performed nearly 300 times and where a cloakroom attendant would join them before becoming a pop star and television celebrity, Cilla Black.
So, without much ado, explore the heart of Liverpool with me for a walking tour through the city’s most iconic landmarks, starting at the historic Royal Albert Dock, strolling through the bustling Liverpool ONE shopping district, and ending at the legendary Cavern Club—the birthplace of The Beatles. Enjoy!
